Welcome
My name is Andrea and I am a UX and Service Designer with a foundation in physical product design and a passion for creating intuitive, human-centred digital experiences. With over a decade of design expertise, I bring a systems-thinking approach to solving complex problems — bridging the gap between business goals, user needs, and technical feasibility. My work spans early research and strategy through to prototyping, testing, and implementation, always focused on delivering meaningful and scalable design solutions. I thrive in cross-functional teams, advocate for design-led innovation, and believe that the best products are built at the intersection of empathy, insight, and purpose.
About Me
Prior to becoming self employed, what has inspired me to start my own company was my role as Lead Product and Service Designer with over a decade of experience designing for both the digital and physical worlds — beginning with hands-on product design and evolving into a career focused on building scalable, human-centred digital systems. My core strength lies in bridging strategic thinking with detailed design execution, ensuring that products not only meet user needs but also serve broader business objectives.
Most recently, at CalypsoAI (2021–2023), I led the end-to-end UX design process for enterprise AI Machine learning governance tools — from discovery and ideation to prototyping, validation, and implementation. I played a strategic leadership role, developing and embedding a UX vision that aligned closely with the company’s product roadmap and AI innovation goals. I worked cross-functionally with stakeholders, data scientists, sales teams, and engineers across Dublin and Washington, D.C., to ensure every product was intuitive, accessible, and visually coherent. I introduced design systems for consistency, embedded usability testing into the product lifecycle, and used data and feedback loops to drive continuous iteration and improvement.
Prior to that, as Head of Product Design at Continuous Software / Optiim, I led multi-platform design initiatives across mobile, tablet, and desktop, guiding teams through fast-paced, concurrent projects. I mentored junior designers, collaborated across disciplines, and worked directly with clients to deliver design solutions grounded in research, business value, and technical feasibility.
Earlier at BNP Paribas, I designed investment tools for global markets, collaborating with cross-border teams and introducing modular design patterns to support consistency across multiple products. I owned full product cycles from research through UAT, while championing design culture and best practices across the organisation.
Across all roles, I’ve been a strong advocate for user-centred design and systems thinking. I combine qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decisions, balancing the needs of users, technology, and the business. Whether developing enterprise software, AI products, or financial platforms, I focus on crafting experiences that are not only elegant and usable — but strategically impactful.
While most of my work is under NDA, I am able to give brief explanations of design and creation around what I am permitted to share.
